HYDROTHERAPY
POOL & UNDERWATER TREADMILL
Hydrotherapy provides a non weight bearing form of exercise in a specially designed heated swimming pool or underwater treadmill providing excellent therapy for dogs in need of careful rehabilitation after injury or those suffering with general orthopedic conditions.
Our hydrotherapy pool and underwater treadmill can also be used for fun and fitness swims too.
Our hydrotherapy programs are individually tailored and designed around each individual patient, to provide the best rehabilitation and fitness program with the aim of improving and enhancing your dogs physical and mental well being.
To assist in creating an effective program a gait analysis will be performed on the patients initial consultation which will include photographic and video graphic supporting evidence which will be used to monitor the improvement of the patient over the course of the program.

Your Pet. More Years.
Physiotherapy affects the soft tissues in the body including the muscles, ligaments and tendons. It helps to create the correct biological conditions for repair. Physiotherapy can help recovery after injury or surgery and can help offer support if the animal is suffering from a chronic condition.
Physiotherapy can be beneficial for a range of orthopaedic and neurological conditions, and offer support pre- and post-operatively.

Chronic conditions such as arthritis can reduce the quality of life for our senior animals. We see changes in posture and behaviour. Your pet may be more reluctant to exercise, be unable to climb stairs, get into the car or have difficulty getting up after resting. You may also see the spine arch and their head drop forward in an attempt to take the pressure off sore joints.
